This is a dairy farm with 250 cows. The following renewable energy projects have been introduced.

There is a 10 kw wind tubine which produces about 20,000 kWh of electricity per year, 90% of this production is used on site.

There is a heat recovery system which extracts the heat from the milk refrigeration units and heats hot water for washing out the milking parlour.

There are solar thermal panels which also heat the water and work in conjunction with the heat recovery system. They produce approximately 2,500 kWh per year.

In order to reduce the cost of mains water a spring water recovery system has been installed to provide drinking water for the cows.

To add to the existing instalations a 50 kW photovoltaic system is in the planning stage.
